December 31, 2018

Dear Friends of Bryan Dream,

The Bryan’s Dream Foundation Board of Directors would like to inform you that we have concluded our charitable activities after our recent holiday giving program on December 31, 2018.  Similar to the startup of our organization, in honor and memory of Bryan Opremcak who passed away from a brain tumor at the age of 12 in 2006, this too is a bittersweet moment.  We are unbelievably proud of what we’ve accomplished in the last 12 – nearly 13 – years and want to thank you for your support.  From our perspective, Bryan’s Dream exceeded all expectations in each and every way and we would never have been able to achieve this success without the strong support of our corporate sponsors, donors and our volunteers.

Please see below for a sense of the depth and breadth of your help to children with brain tumors through Bryan’s Dream:

  • 36 hospitals in our network
  • Over 1,200 Financial Assistance applications reviewed and responded
  • 2,253 holiday gift bags distributed
  • 56 Thanksgiving Dinners supplied
  • 63 Families adopted for Holiday Giving
  • 10 Camp Sunshine Brain Tumor Sessions funded for 182 Families and 698 family members
  • More than $1.3m provided in Financial Assistance and Holiday Giving
  • Nearly $125k to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) for pediatric brain tumor research

Thank you again for your support and generosity, we are exceedingly grateful for your help and involvement.   You truly helped make a difference in the lives of children with brain tumors.

With Warmest Regards & Deepest Gratitude,

Nancy & Tim Opremcak
Bryan’s Parents and Trustees, Bryan’s Dream Foundation

P.S. Going forward if you choose to continue to support pediatric brain tumors charities, we encourage you to direct your support to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.  They are a wonderful research organization that focuses on finding a cure, which ultimately is what is needed.
